I found some art in the public domain that I love and thought I'd share with you guys. This is perfect because I was thinking I would have to spend a couple hundred dollars on the flamingo art I was going to incorporate in my sunroom and I think I may like this image more.
I enlarged both images with a program I found because the originals could not be enlarged without sacrificing image quality.
I'm not 100 percent sure but it looked like it enlarged to be about 10x16" or 11X18" before starting to lose quality. If you need me to enlarge it more, just let me know.
barring a few changes, my sunroom should look something like this when I finish |
Click on the images til they pop up with the black background, right click over the image and choose "save as" to save to your computer. You can then copy it to a thumb drive or SD card and take it to Staples and have them print a large image for you.
The pelican art reminded me of the pelican art I wanted from this Tobi Fairley design I re-imagined:
I've found a gargantuous (sure, that's a word) load of images from the public domain that I'm editing right now, so I'll be adding images weekly.
Cool.
ReplyDeleteYes it you go above a certain point it will pixelate. Low res images can not be enlarged they need to actually made smaller.
Did you check out Society 6? Go the website and put "pelican" in to the search box a bunch of fun stuff comes up. I saw a print by an artist named Amy Sullivan that I thought was really cool.
