Lip Art: What's Your Take?

*In my defense, I'm an interior designer not a graphic artist

Some designers are really turned off by this trend and obviously some find it chic.

I think most things can work depending on the space it's in. I don't think you can take just any decor and put it in any house and it just works. A lot of times you have to do justice to your home. What works with my house now, isn't what would work with my last home. The type of walls, ceiling height, and many other things tell me what type of decor is going to go in my home along with what feeling I want in my home.

So, I know this trend has been going on for a little while but what is your take? Is lip art chic, OK in the right space, kitschy?

  2. Hi Lucy,
I'm biased. I have [naturally] full lips so I think they are wonderful. As for the decor, little punches of it are ok. Too much is just too much. Maybe in a man cave? ha, ha. The note cards are great.

    Sincerely,
    Karina

    1. I meant to say you're blessed to have full lips, Karina! In a man cave would be so funny! Love your take on it.

  3. It's ok in the right space, but not for me. I think it's a trend, nothing timeless. :-)

  4. I think the one with the black lips would add a great graphic punch blown up, but it's not the type of art I gravitate towards.

  6. Miley ruined most of this {for my taste} with the tongue thing. I suppose if I saw it in the right place, I would think it was cute though. XOXO
